The Journey Begins
Discovering Krav Maga
I first heard about Krav Maga when I was searching for a way to become more physically fit. I was looking for something that was challenging and would help to boost my self-confidence. I was immediately intrigued by the idea of learning a form of self-defense.
Exploring Classes and Training
I decided to explore the different classes and training options available. After researching the different schools and instructors, I decided to sign up for a beginners’ class. I was excited to start my journey and to learn a new skill.
Making a Commitment
Once I had made the decision to start training, I made a commitment to myself to stick with it no matter what. I knew that it would be challenging, both physically and mentally, but I was determined to push myself and to make the most of the experience.
The Initial Training
Before I was able to start my training, I had to gather the necessary equipment. I bought a pair of gloves, hand wraps, and shin guards. I also purchased a mouthguard and a pair of shorts. I was now ready to start my training.
The First Class
The first class was intense! We began with a warm-up and then moved on to learning the different techniques. We practiced punches, kicks, and throws. We also worked on improving our balance and coordination.
Intensity of the Training
The intensity of the training increased as we progressed. We worked on our strength and endurance by doing push-ups, sit-ups, and running. We also worked on our flexibility by stretching. I was surprised at how quickly my strength and endurance improved.
